Paint Rock Pool is a private swimming pool in the Turning Mill neighborhood of Lexington, Massachusetts. Membership is open to residents of Lexington. The 25- by 15-yard pool is set up for lap swimming and diving. In addition, a roped-off shallow area is ideal for small children. The pool also offers an in-water basketball hoop and a selection of pool toys for general recreation. Swimming lessons and an active swim team increase the value of membership.

The Turning Mill neighborhood established the pool in 1963. Since then, residents have elected a volunteer Board of Directors to set policies, oversee improvements, and handle membership and finances. The Board also employs a pool manager who handles daily operations and maintenance. The manager hires and supervises a team of certified lifeguards, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and enjoyability of the pool.

AMENITIES

The pool is heated and illuminated. Amenities include:

• Changing rooms, outdoor and indoor showers, and bathhouse facilities

• Poolside chairs, loungers and umbrellas

• A shady deck with picnic tables

• Diving board

• In-water basketball hoop

• A play area suitable for four-square, ping pong, and other games

• Off-street parking
